A Commitment to Excellence Ready to achieve a new level of professional growth and recognition? The Certified Association Executive (CAE) program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and designate association professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of association management. Founded in 1960, the CAE program stands as a mark of excellence and has evolved to reflect what it takes to manage an association in today’s challenging climate.

Getting the CAE isn’t simply a one-time thing, but an ongoing commitment to professional growth. Professionals holding the designation pledge to continually advance their knowledge and achieve higher levels of excellence in association management. CAEs must also actively advance, support and promote association membership and the association profession as a whole.

SLSAE hosts a study group at the beginning of each year to help those who want to achieve their CAE.  Contact the SLSAE office (314-416-2250) for additional information.

SLSAE would like to recognize members who have achieved their CAE designation.

What is the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Program?

The CAE program, founded in 1960 by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), is designed to:

  • Elevate professional standards,
  • Enhance individual performance, and
  • Designate association professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to manage an association in today’s challenging environment.

SLSAE CAE Study Group

SLSAE strongly encourages the pursuit of the CAE Certification, and supports its members efforts by offering a CAE Study Group for those who are preparing to take the CAE exam. This is a wonderful CAE exam preparation resource, and participants who are active in a CAE Study Group have a higher success rate on the CAE exam.

SLSAE’s CAE Study Group is offered when there are enough members interested in sitting for the CAE exam. Please contact us if you are interested in participating in a CAE Study Group.

For more information about the CAE program, please visit the ASAE website.
